UPDATE: The fire at St. John Vianney's Catholic Church has been ruled as an act of Arson!
Investigators have confirmed that a fire that broke out at the Saint John Vianney Catholic Church overnight Saturday was an act of arson.
"The extensive structure fire at St. John Vianney Church in Hacienda Heights has been confirmed as an act of arson," Sheriff's Department officials said Saturday night.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
St. John Vianney's in Hacienda Heights, CA goes up in flames. Part of the roof collapsed. The fire started around 9pm-10pm.
Please keep the church, the congregants, the staff and the community in prayer.
Please also pray for the first responders. The smoke was quite heavy and it can't be good for their lungs.
We left after the roof collapsed because the church interior started cooking and the smoke was just too thick. There was a rumor of the possibility of asbestos so most of everyone left by 2am. Dozens of fireengines and police cars are there.

@digs490 No problem. I am not Catholic, but I often go to SJV to pray and I attend Easter and Christmas mass. They have signs posted at the front gates on the Mass Times.
