Thanks Video Birder! I could not positively ID this bird. I knew it was a flycatcher but was thrown off by the apparent collar on the neck.

  • I had one living in a tree in my yard about 5 years ago. The mating pair would hang a snake skin out the hole. I found my dog with one the chicks, I took it raised it, and kept it for four months to rehab it. I trained it to fly to me and after I released it, it would come to me if I called for it. Miss Him.

  • That's a really cool story. Do you have any pictures or video? I tried to rehab a pigeon last year, but he had pox, a genetic issue and crop problems. :(

  • Yeah? COOL! Thats a lifer :) Thanks for your help!

  • Sorry about your pigeon. They are actually difficult if it helps any. I don't have a single picture of him (I named him Peeper) I have only imbraced technology about ten months ago. I've rehabed a bunch of birds since then. If you ever have a question email me. Some birds are harder than others. Blue Jays, and birds in their order are hard to rehab if their eyes are open. They are smart as hell. One of the jays actually copied sounds from my house. He would say OH NO!! when upset.

  • this is a great crested flycatcher
