If you're interesting in studying/working abroad, a great place to start your research is on the Consulate website of the country of your choice for visa and exchange programs with your country. Another good place is student travel agencies that often specialize in these things. If your university offers exchange programs, ask your student advisor.

  • thank you for this, this really helped me! :D

  • @susanannlopez thank you so much for this information, this is all so very helpful! thank you so much i will take this all into consideration.

  • @mademoisellediorable (con't) If you're just bringing clothing and small personal possessions then I would recommend paying excess baggage and bringing many suitcases or boxes. Shipping has becone very expensive and 50lbs per bag can be a deal depending on the airline excess baggage rates which can be as low as 25 dollars a bag. I used large dishpack boxes that met size requirements and wrapped with nylon rope. Hope this is helpful.

  • @mademoisellediorable I'm not sure if this will be helpful but I've relocated from the US (at least 14 times) to different countries Italy, France, Monaco, Australia, Belgium, The Netherlands and once to Hawaii. The cost depends on how much you want to bring ( I shipped a car twice) and how long you expect to stay.

  • i love your lipstick!

  • Hi Julia, I hope your vacation back home is also going well, I am asking you, because I think you are the only one that can help me! I also live in Vancouver and am moving to Europe within the next 5 months, I am having a big problem finding a way to ship all of my things to my new home. Do you have ideas what the easiest way to do that would be? I would really appreciate your help as I have searched all kinds of websites, and the funniest of all was a quote from UPS i got for $4000!! Thank You!

  • @allustrial Travelling on your own shows employers your responsibilities and courage to go for something. Most of them list reliability and independence in the requirement fields.

  • you went to McGill??? im so jealouuusssss.

  • @ShUrkaSl Well, I'm from Lithuania and I really want to move to Canada. Because of some reasons. One of them is life quality in Lithuania, which is really low these past 5 years. And Canada is the country which can offer me more than Lithuania could. And sometimes people migrate because they want to have different life...it's more like you have been born in a wrong place LOL So, this is why I actually want to leave my country. :) Just thought to answer into your question. hehe

  • Erasmus is Erasmus in all languages in European Union because its called Erasmus Student Programme called after Desiderius Erasmus who was living in Renaisannce in Holland :)
