** I posted this earlier, but portions of the sound were not working! All is fixed now!**

This is a great alternative to store bought applesauce that is filled with sugar and crap! It's also very easy to make!

(Adjust this recipe to make as little or as much as you like)

2 apples
2 cups water
1tsp Splenda
1/2tsp Vanilla extract
Dusting of cinnamon

1. Heat water on Med. heat
2. Wash/peel/cut apples to 1 inch chunks
3. Cook uncovered until apples are coming apart
4. Do not rinse or drain!
5. Mash until desired consistency
6. Add spices and refrigerate!

In this recipe:
1 1/4 cups
213 calories, 0g fat, 52.5 carbs, 5g sugar, 10g fiber

  • Awesome vid thanks for the info. That looked soooo good. I think I am going to make that real soon. I love to put apple sauce in my cake bater to cut the sugar now i have a better applesauce! :)

  • great!!!!

  • mmmm apples and cinnamon!!!

  • mmmmmm lol

  • This looks great & easy. I'll definitely have to try this. I've never been a huge fan of applesauce but I don't know why because I love everything that goes into it so it should be one of my favorite foods. Maybe it is the type of apples used in the store bought kind. My grandmother has a hard time eating stuff, so this would be a great thing to take to her. Thanks, I'll be trying it. I have to go to the grocery store tomorrow so I'll try to pick up the supplies. :)

  • Oh I bet she'd love it!!!

  • Thank you :) I'm not sure what the technical name for my house would be... it's just a trailor I guess :) It's fairly big though, 2100 sq. feet. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and an extra office. lol It's not your average trailor lol

  • I'm sure red delicious would be good too!

  • No problem! :)
