  • @fzcamm amen to that!!!

  • Such a great song. Can someone tell me why I'm the only person at my high school who likes this type of music?

  • Sorry, the comment above was directed to you about 1980's music and America. I need to aim better when I am typing.

  • I don't know. I grew up on 1980's music and enjoy it. It's catchy perhaps in all generations. The song is a wonderful tribute to America in World War II. That should appeal to many people in that war in America and abroad. God bless America.

  • @JasonFedok81

Then you are the only one at your high school with any taste. You are wise beyond your years Jason, hang in there, your peers will eventually cacth up with your sophistication.

  • @derhandtrommler An opinion as valid as mine, and I absolutely agree with you on the subjects of the Foo Fighters and the "disposable craphounds" you so rightly refer to.

Which is more than can be said of U2's latest record. The 1980s were the band's peak and they produced some brilliant music. "The Joshua Tree" is one of my favourite albums of all time and I love this song. I just don't rate their newer stuff.

So not entirely a pile of horsecrap.

  • @Izzycuddles09 smart kid.

  • @jowfeedback93 Horsecrap. U2 is still doing some of the best music out there. Bono is a product of the marketplace and he knows it. He had a sense of humor about his image which is more than I can say about the disposable craphounds out there now. Foo Fighters and U2 are the best bands going. There's no such thing as a bad U2 record. Even "Pop" sounds better now than it did when it came out.

  • @lulli215 You're a smart person. Music was so much better then that there is no comparison. U2's lamest outtake, half assed bullshit was better than anything on radio now with the exception of, maybe, half a dozen bands.

  • Haha, once again all the world's haters gathered on one site. None of you actually think about what you could be doing to help instead coming on here and posting comments on a video by a band you can't stand. Holy fuck, it does my brain in and I despair for you people.

I totally agree that U2 are complete bullshit now, and I agree that Bono's a massive bellend. But this song, along with many other U2 tracks, makes people happy.

And finally, I agree with Trabbie - R.I.P The Joshua Tree era.

  • @JasonFedok81 my son likes U2

  • U2 is the best band ever forever. I wish I were born in 60s to be a teenager in the 80s !
