  • ... please do some research on ribattutas.. that is the first kind of oscillation for the dissonances in the recitare cantando... evolved after to the thrills we know from later music... and btw this is not baroque yet!

  • @madridd1 Really :O ? I did not know there was an entire philosophy on this particular way of trills, but for baroque i would guess it makes sense there was....but i mean...its not EVEN a trill....it stays on the same note...or maybe at the time this is what trill ment? It is really unpleasant to the ear nonetheless :( (at least heard from this particular singer)

  • @killerbunny123123 There is a school of thought that believes that this was the way they sang trills during Monteverdi's time. There are obviously no recordings from that time so we can't be sure. But this performance practice is pretty widely performed today. Its an interesting idea, but not my favorite either :)

  • ....it's not my impression right? This is actually how he sings trills??!

  • Meraviglioso!!!!!

  • THANKS A LOT for such erotic and fantastic version.

  • Hanna Bayodi-Hirt has a pretty voice!

  • Muito boa a direção de William Christie, as usual.

  • great performance ,,but was it for children?
