Adobe Photoshop CS4: Fluid Canvas Rotation

In this video I demonstrate the new features in Adobe Photoshop CS4 extended. The feature I will demonstrate is fluid canvas rotation.

Features demonstrated:

O Fluidly rotating a photograph
- Smooth rotation
- No degrading of quality
- GPU Accelerated rendering

O Painting
- Smooth painting as if it was at its regular angle
- No flaws in painting
- All tools respect the rotation

O Precision rotation
- Resetting the view
- Selecting a precise angle

My thoughts on Fluid Canvas Rotation
It is very nice. As the title suggests, it fluidly rotates the canvas. It is very helpful to graphic designers who use a Graphics Tablet. It is much easier to draw at angles using this tool and a tablet. Overall, it works very fast. But when doing heavy tasks such as rotating a 1000px² complicated 3D Object it is noticeable that canvas rotation does slow down common tasks.

Doesn't cause problems, it just helps everyone with a tablet.

yeah but with a touch pad on the new macs if you accidentally drop a second finger somewhere in the pad it automatically rotates the canvas. i think its a pain and should be able to be turned off

You can turn that off either in the settings of photoshop or your mac.
