@vanRijn64 Weapons that can break shields are called red weapons. When struck twice on the shield by a red weapon(red weapon bearer must hit hard, with two hands) the shield is broken for that round and can no longer be used. Red weapons also go through armor(when swung with two hands) unlike a blue weapon.

@vanRijn64 He's saying green. Green is a name for a stabbing weapon such as a spear. Green weapons can never break shields, and can only pierce armor when the weapon bearer thrusts with two hands. They call out the name of the weapon so the person getting hit can know how to take the damage. It is important to call out your weapon color in large chaotic battles.
