  • Actually, it was a joke, you dumbass. All the Hardly guys gotta wear their leather hats and bandanas during thier dyno pull, so we made a Japanese headband making fun of them. What an idiot...

  • looks just like my 84. I have just under 37000 and it's still a stock screamer. the only thing I had a problem with was the white scarf blowing aroung the rear tire. I'm not sure I'd take that kind of chance. I'd rather die doing 170 on the highway.

  • The "scarf" is about half a roll of paper towels.

  • Got a heavy v-twin in that thing. Used to have an '84. One bad-ass piece of machinery and to be respected. Scary fast!

  • Actually, its a V-4, not a twin. But you're right. Scary fast.

  • What were the dyno numbers?

  • It made 105 at the rear tire. Pretty impressive for a 25 year old bike.

  • The head band was foolishly long. Love the bike. Hope to find another one soon.

  • @odmcarp so find another and start the dream again!

  • These were simply great bikes. Still are... if you are fortunate enough to own one in good shape. Nothing else quite feels like a V65 Magna. The overall power and cruising comfort is very distinctive to these bikes.

The only mistake Honda ever made was to STOP making them. 4 years of bliss.

  • @nicconley the original hp was suppose to be 116 right? i had that bike, did a head on with a car, didn't break anything, and lived. i miss it thou.

  • @p22adraig: 5K miles literally isn't broken in. Aren't many of those low mile bikes left. I've had 5 of these. The first one went 140K, the second one went 120K. Third is on 65K. It also turned 105 in 4th, 106.5 in 5th.

  • I also made 105 at the wheel with 27k on it all stock!

  • (Reply to SskyFive) Kinda like you driving into a tree and we all laughed our ass's off!!! It was a joke!!

  • It would have been better if that clowns do-rag got caught in the back wheel.
