Work of youth (1908-9), for voice and piano. The songs are based on poems from the C. Hebbel and A. Mombert collections.

  • @iboneic13 Atonal doesn't mean no tones, it means no tonality. Actually only the 4th song is atonal.

  • @predoje I'm a music education and performance major at Ithaca College. I actually learned that quote and studied this piece in my 20th century music class last semester.
