An old wood pumpjack owned and displayed by Bill Fields at the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum, Vista, CA. Bill got this out of a small oilfield in Piru, CA that had been operating since the 1880s. The engine is a 4 horsepower Fairbanks-Morse type T.
*Said while looking at his amputated left index finger* This is a cool rig but damn it- if you're not awake its another amputation waiting to happen with those gears, rods and belts! Safety First people!
