Exercise your free speech! RATE Scott Roeder expressing his feelings about Tiller and his family, the judge's censorship of abortion facts, a church narthex as a "safe place", accusations that he is "bloodthirsty", and how he feels now that it's over. Interviewed by Dave Leach by phone the first week of February. Scott shot the late late term abortionist George Tiller in his Wichita church May 31. Only God could have arranged for his trial to begin January 22, 2010, the 37th anniversary of Roe v. Wade! Certainly not his judge, Wilbert, who generated headlines all over the world saying "this trial is NOT going to be about abortion!" Scott was found guilty of 1st Degree Murder January 29.

  • MacingUup, you say you understand and accept the Necessity Defense as law, but it doesn't apply to stopping a man from killing any more babies who has already killed 60,000? How many more lives must be lost before you would say the defense should apply? You say you believe in God - you didn't say which one. The One that wrote Proverbs 24:10-12? Does the god you believe in approve your potty mouth?

  • The "life of the mother" exception was added to all criminal law against abortion in the past, because although killing a baby who threatens nobody is murder, we can't have laws that REQUIRE people to lay down their lives for another. That is a decision many mothers used to make, and that is the kind of love we used to associate with motherhood. But self sacrifice belongs in memorials, not in laws.

  • @palinthepentecostal Wow, you sure did use a lot of big words in your comments. Too bad none of them explain why stopping a man from killing viable fetuses makes one a religious zealot, Killing babies has now become a "belief". What's the point of discussing any issue if you are going to pull the everything is a belief card?

  • Thank you Scott Roeder, you stood up for the lives of unborn children when the law wouldn't.

  • @palinthepentecostal

Its a great feeling, nothings tops it :)

  • @lucianarg30

it must be nice to feel morally superior to others who do no accept your beliefs.

Piety is a character flaw in the 21st century that is certainly synonymous with hubris and sanctimony; and the reason why religious zealots like yourself struggle to produce novel notions as evinced in the trash we hear on the news in the form of Bachmanns, Palins, Perrys etc. Stupidity, in the form of antediluvian belief systems that have failed us for 2 millennium.

  • @lucianarg30

Well, good luck finding a living breathing Jesuit in 2011 since they, like communism, are becoming extinct.

  • @palinthepentecostal

Go ask the Jesuits if religion is an impediment to erudition. The Jesuits perfected socialism in Paraguay via the Reductions. They helped prop up Stalin whilst they were expelled to Georgia.

U not a learned person. U blabber on but ignore many things.

You quote Marx, nice. Why dont u go to North Korea to experience communist heaven?

Dont go to far, theres Venezuela, Cuba and other delightful places for commies like you do move to.

Obama will surely fulfill ur dreams.

  • @palinthepentecostal

Your just another pathetic individual full of excuses.

If you dont believe in God nor want religion then dont complain and bitch about what happens in this life.

Roeder just did what he wanted to just like anyone. Full stop.

You do what you want to do dont you? The only reason that separates you from doing something that affects others is the fear of punishment.

Your a coward. You fear even atheism, for you are weak.

Remember: Nothing is true, everything is permitted.

  • so if this deity of yours actually exists, well, he/she it has a LOT of explaining to do...... religion ...... is an evil enterprise there bible boy

  • @patriciacarrasco

.... as well as the millions that have died in his/her/its name. Ted Haggard was one of you as the leader of the evangelical church when he was going behind his wife's back to such on a male prostitute's penis while sucking on a meth pipe. so much for religion.

  • @patriciacarrasco

I was actually thinking that IF there is actually a "god" in "heaven" or anywhere else that he would have to explain the millions upon millions of spontaneous abortions that occur by the 12th week as well as
