DO anyone know how what exctly the power of sylar is?

I mean he used the power of elle without killing her so is he like peter but why is he killing them?Because he gets the pwers only with killing them or because it makes fun to kill them?

I think that sylar has the same power as Peter.. but don't know how to use it yet. I first thought that because he could get the power of Elle without killing her. He doesn't have to find the answers in the brains anymore ( I guess ). He kills them because of the Hunger.. He can't help it.

@TrashBasher I looked it up and it said to understand things with out any experience.. But that doesn't make sense. So im thinking its Peter's power as Yviana said,. :)

sylar has the power to understand how everything works. (HRG said so in season 1) whe he kills someone with an ability he slices the head open, checks the brain and all of that and then can understand how the power worked. then he aquires it for himself.

He learned how to get powers by touching. He kills either cuz he's "hungry" or because its his persona. He's real power is learning n he got his telekinis from some guy cuz he bashed his head, so yea thats y he does the whole cut ur head open thing. he has like 15 powers i think? idk i lost count.

You are correct, its actually interesting with the "side effects" Peter easily absorbs but doesnt have much control, Arthur has great control but needs to be in physical contact and can only steal not copy and Sylar needs to expose the brain but has control and does copy.

Nikki only gets strengh but could acces it easily in the end, Knox gets speed, durabillity and strengh but needs to absorb fear.

the learning part is right, but sylar, also has a hunger for more power, witch comes with it.(witch made him a bad guy to begin with, with the expiton, of being used by elle) he picks the brain, like a puzzle to find the power, but he doesnt have peters power, he has authors power, to learn ppls power by touch
