You probably don't like Barbra Streisand or Celine Dion for the same (nasal sound) reason. This is not one of Kylie's songs, but she sings it in her live performances for the children with cancer. She is a cancer survivor so it means a great deal to her, and the moon set is obviously for the kids. Enjoy.
