A God fearing Christian will tell you: "The famine in Somalia is another sign that Jesus is returning soon! The Earth will be destroyed and the Kingdom of Heaven well be upon us! This world is nothing. Those who love the world cannot love God..." and in their heads they finish with the words, "... I got mine, why bother." Don't believe me? It takes about 2 minutes to find scores of YT channels that make these claims.

@johndebbra I can't speak for (or with) the dead, but Mother Teresa seems to have thought that the purpose of disease is so that she can watch people die and thus improve her soul.

Most atheists I've known or heard of don't claim to be able to disprove god. I've been a little irritated with American Atheist billboards saying things like "You KNOW there's no God"--it suggests that we're all gnostic atheists, and gives the theists more ammunition.

Not disagreeing, just yapping.
