I lived in West Hollywood at the time, an area with some of the worst ground movement. The only word that I use to describe it is violent. It was very violent. I remember the aftershocks for a week. Awful. Everyone was walking around with that 1000 yard stare because no one could sleep for a week because of them and everyone was edge. Mother nature can be a real bitch.

O.M.G. this worst earthquake caused by Mother Nature happened on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day way back on Jan.17th 1994 my mom was married to my father this time

LOL? I was in that building towards the end of that video, not the 80s. Jan 17, 1994....4:31 am and like a mother fucker it shook and killed. Aftershocks ever 10 seconds, not min.......

The aftershocks went on daily for months after this one. There were hundreds of aftershocks the day of the quake. It takes its toll on you, leaving you feeling a perpetual sense of dread... a kind of shell shock. I hope I never have to ride out another one.
