It is very easy to see Jupiter moon in 10x50 (cm) binoculars. What about a smaller aperture camcorder of 37mm diameter? A quick attempt here Today i fished out my old Hi8 TRV99E- PAL with a close to depletion lithium ion battery. Balancing precariously above a 12 storey corridor window, i zoomed in the near overhead Jupiter, fiddling with the focus and saw the moons lined up on a straight lines.. ( ignore the time stamp etc below the video, i am using ufocapture to convert the camcorder direct to digital avi, date and time shown are the transrecording time)
