@starquant - I'm not sure why this piece of film reminds you of "false rape allegations". Perhaps you can find sexual or sexually oriented associations in anything? How misogynous you are too. When men tell lies nobody says: "It's just like when men lie about being molested as children..." I really hope you don't have children (especially daughters). Little tip for you: among rational types, people who type in caps lock to emphasis a point are generally thought of as nutters.

@starquant - I'm not sure which part of your post I object to most, let's start with this one: "Sad old broads with "no life" (could you tell me why you put those words in speech marks? What an original approach to punctuation you have) and "with nothing better to do.." I'd argue that two working class kids capable of hoodwinking Sir Arthur Conan Doyle - whether they ended up as dishwashers or unpaid maids - are probably much more intelligent and dynamic than the likes of you.

Well, unless my mind is creative, I've taken some astounding photos of beings I can only guess who they are 'supose to be. A couple were rather large!

Sad old broads, with "no life" and "with nothing better to do" than to cause mischief. I understand a 16 year old doing it, but sticking to the story is just plain SAD. When a woman has no prospects, other than being a dishwasher, unpaid maid, and looking after brats.. I see why they do it. Doesn't make it right tho. Reminds me of a false rape complainant. No wonder women loose credibility when they try and make fantasy a reality. When a woman has a LEGITIMATE complaint, no one listens.

Never get tired of this story. Amazing now to think they fooled everyone. The fairies had contemporary hairstyles of the time. Looking back it seems so obvious!
