soooo, im just 17 but i was in the scene since 7 years... ;)

garage or 2step are the predecenders of dubstep... this music has some deep basses and mostly chilled elements or vocals.. after that people like skream, benga or digital mystikz introduced dubstep. (the oldschool, real dubstep) they had deep basses too, but the focus was on the chill with bass and time ;) and then there is the modern dubstep with skrillex, borgore etc..but garage will never die ! :D

Uhhh "mainsteam dubstep"? Its just an evolved form of Dubstep. people are so childish with genre's listen to what you like. I don't understand why there needs to be segregation on genres like where in a god damn gang or something, smh. every genre is going to evolve and mutate into different sub-genres and people can like the evolution of a genre or dislike it. really is there one person who hates an ENTIRE whole genre? and not like ONE single song? kiss my ass if you hate an entire genre.
