I have a question...
I just came across with this video about fuel injection...
Isn't it the airplanes use fuel injection as well?
I have flown Cessna172 P models that they have carburetor and what I learned from the flight manuals is if I don't apply the carburetor at the certain altitude, the ice crystals might form in the throttle area which will allow less fuel to airplane engines. Then the fuel injection came and that eliminated the carburetor. Am I right? I just want to verify my self.

Very nice video, the best, simplest one I have ever seen on fuel injection. Well done!

Great video, one of the best tech videos I have seen.

OMG, talk about Old School. Was this like 1989? The guy sounds mad that Fuel Injection was invented. It's a good source of info, but it seems like the guy is saying that Carburation is better. Does it seem that way to anyone else? Of course he contradicts what he was saying at the end....

i finally learned exactly how and EFI works ! Keep it it
You Say, 14.7 % of Air and 1% of fuel, but in a cilinder of 163CC
14.7% = 23,961cc of air
1% = 1,63cc of Fuel
What is the other 84.3% = 137,409 ??? Thanks

Hi arthus1971,
Whoops. It's a RATIO of 14.7 to 1, so out of 15.7(as 100%), it's 14.7 over 15.7 times 100 air (93.63%) and 1 over 15.7 times 100 (6.36%) fuel.
In simpler terms, 14.7 parts air to 1 part fuel. Clear as mud, right?
