@gwoodard8100 U2's version never really did anything to me emotionally although I'm sure Bono felt it 100%. When Sara sings it I like it a lot more. Either you feel something or you don't. Just because a song is considered a classic doesn't mean everybody gets the same thing from it.

I don't know why people have to compare. The girl made a tribute to one of rock and roll greatest bands and song. And did it in a wonderful way. I guess is much more interesting to see the way she mixes her own stuff with some very cool covers and crawls her way into the spotlight. Bareiles really sings and deserves a shining path ahead!
