A very poignant video, I am reading about the expedition in "The Ice Balloon: S.A. Andree and the heroic age of Arctic Exploration". These images and the haunting music tell the story wonderfully well. Thank you for sharing this with us. Now, I am going to have to find this movie.

@riksjarl Please keep me updated as well in the search for that beautiful closing music. I am enormously interested in the Andrée-expedition and Troells movie is a masterpiece telling that tragic story so well.

@leclairjeanm Correct. You wouldnt know the last music piece? Its from the end of "The Flight of the Eagle" .. I have been searching for it desperately for some time now. The end credits give no clue. :/

I've been looking for it quite a while aswell. First i contacted 'Svenska Filminstitutet' who were the co-producers of the movie but even they couldn't find that song in their database. I was directed to Jan Troell himself (the director). I didn't get and e-mail adress, only his home adress. He's a celebrated director in Sweden and i doubt i will get an answer if i send him a letter. If i do however, i will post it here.

@riksjarl Thanks for the effort. :) I hope one of us finally finds out what song it is. I have been thinking of writing Troell, but I still haven't done so.
The song is really beautiful and touching.
