Question 3: Even now we don't know what type of chemicals or metals are present in moon. So during soorya grahanam and chandra grahanam we cann't predict there is no chemical reaction in moon/earth surface. We need to scientifically prove that.

3. You say that “Even now we don't know what type of chemicals or metals are present in moon.” Lot of expeditions to Moon and at last the Moon Mineralogy Mapper had fetched a lot of information about the mineralogy of Moon. Even then we cannot say that we know everything.

Remember that we had traveled all the way through history by correcting the old. So please don’t conclude that all that are old are true and the new are false. Also see that the some old believes were false not because of the fault of the observer, but the basic knowledge of the society at that time was the barrier for them.

But they had to answer questions like 1.Why planets are having retrograde motion if they revolve round the Earth? 2. Why some planets are brighter during some period? 3. Why Mercury and Venus are not coming over our head? Precise and keen observation and logical thinking paved the way to correct it. Trying to find out the answer to these questions they replaced Earth with Sun at the centre of Solar system.

2. The night sky observations of ancient Babylonians, Indians, Arabians etc... etc... helped them to find out a lot about the movement of planets, sun and moon. You had also pointed out that “all they are completely or partially true.” Before the age of Copernicus everybody believed that Sun revolves round the Earth, since it was what we see.

I disagree with your comments because of the following reasons

1. You says that the animation is wrong. The animation is not wrong since it shows the belief at that time. It is clearly mentioned in the commentary along with the animation as pointed out by “mywingsoffire.”

. What is a chemical reaction? It is some reaction between two chemicals. The shadow of the Moon cannot chemically react with a chemical in Moon or Earth. Eclipse is nothing but casting of shadow of Moon, just like the roof of our house casting shadow inside or the shadow below a tree. If the shadow can act as catalyst in some chemical reaction, surely that chemical reaction should happen in the shadow below the tree even when there is no eclipse.

4. We the mankind is trying to unfold the secrets of the universe which is “Anantham Ajnjatham Avarnaneeyam.” Dear friend I believe surely that “Orikkalum sambhavikka Illennorikkalum Parayaruthe.”
