What a stupid statement!. People say that Ringo is a crap drummer because he is at best adequate - and to say otherwise is just plain ignorant. Look at the historical timing; He was simply a rock'n'roll accompanist for some more talented musicians and he was "there" to be hovered by John and Paul at that time. Huge swathes of good drummers followed that period of 60s development, but Ringo was not one of them. His last fart had more talent than his brain ever did. Bonham vs. Starr = 10000 to 1.

his drumming style is unique and brings a lot to the table. He's left handed yet played his drum kit in a right handed drummers configuration for The Beatles. he led with his left hand which created a unique drumming style.it was the crazy thing back in 1950's British Schools of making left handers write with their right hand that made him drum like this. so something good I guess came out of that ridiculous past in Education in Great Britain back then. Yes I am left handed by the way :)

Paul redid *some* of the songs that Ringo recorded but only a few. Almost all? Hardly. Look up Steve Miller Band's "My Dark Hour" and the drums on the McCartney album: stiff, not very fluid and while good they are far from the compact and fluid style that Ringo had. Sorry but the Pauline Drum Legend is far beyond the reality. Oh, I've been playing drums since 1964, so I think I have learned a bit about drums in the last 50 years. Best, Boomie
