  • Nasturtiums are ground cover, but they do well in pots. I suspect that these being in full sun and getting the nutrients from the rotting tree stump had a special boost in the size dept! I haven't planted any since that summer, I might want to do so again, see if I get the same result! They'll be much better to look at than the ivy that grows there that I can't seem to get rid of!!

  • How much root space do they need vertically and horizontally if planted in containers? How will the depth and width affect the foliage?

  • this is too funny! they ARE huge!  i just had my first 'scarlet gleam' pop through the soil, so hopefully they'll approach at least half the size of yours! =]
