This is a segment from my Raquel solo run. The rules are as follows:
-Characters other than Raquel can only Guard.
-Characters other than Raquel must be under level 10 (this is done by equipping the Monopoly Gourd on Raquel).
-Characters other than Raquel must use their initial equipment. No Alter Parts may be used for Jude's ARM.
-No items that can be only gotten through New Game+ carry overs can be used.
This is done on New Game+ only to have access to the Monopoly Gourd to keep other characters' levels in check. Nothing carried over from the previous playthrough will be used.
This is the final form of Divine Weapon, the final boss. The party gets fully healed and 100 FP for this battle, which is less of an advantage as it seems at first.
He has a number of abilities. He has a total of four attacks: ABM Launcher, Arch Smasher, Energy Saber, and Handy Cannon. ABM Launcher is a magical attack that randomly hits every hex that is empty or contains an ally. Arch Smasher is another magical attack that hits hexes around the target hex as well. Energy Saber is a melee physical attack and Handy Cannon is a ranged physical attack that deals pathetic damage.
He also has two other abilities. One is Boost Attack, which triples the damage of his next attack, which is major pain if used with ABM Launcher or Arch Smasher. His other is Accelerator, which allows him to get an instant turn at random, which can screw over any plan if you're depending on him only having as many turns as shown on the screen.
But none of these are the biggest nuisance to this battle. The biggest nuisance is that once he is killed once, he must be killed again by Arc Impulse, which is a force attack that requires 100 FP and all allies to be in the same hex and alive. Because of this, once "killing" DW the first time, Raquel must revive the others and wait for her next turn to use Arc Impulse. Of course, about 99% of the time, DW is just going to kill everyone else before Raquel gets another turn, so it's just a waiting game until he doesn't do that.
I came into this battle with a couple of accidental handicaps. First, I forgot to turn off Retaliate, which blocks Raquel from countering when using Blocker. Not a big deal, but countering activates Rapid Attack, which COULD have reduced the number of turns DW got in a row. The second handicap is that I forgot to cure the other characters' Max HP Reduction status effect before this battle. At full HP, all members can survive a Handy Cannon attack (I told you it was pathetic!), which makes it easier for them to live until Raquel can initiate Arc Impulse. Still, I managed to pull it through, and only after one reset on this battle.
Setup:
Level 60
Great Sword - 1420 ATP, 2 ACN, -5 HIT
Sun Wall - 425 DFP, 380 MGR, +10 EVA
Goat Doll - One time revival to 1 HP.
Cat's Paw - +1 ACN

4 is better than 1, 2, and 3 (and all of the others in the series), but 5 is worse than 3 and better than 1 and 2.
Of course this is all subject to opinion.
