@MEGASUPERSLACKER Yes, stage 7 was hard but not as hard as stage 5, even though I was stuck on stage 3 for about a month because I didn't know about the 15 second time bonus at the end. But now I have all the emeralds.

200 lives is nothing compared to what I have. I've got 445 on the Iphone version and I have Super Sonic. But I did use this video to finish special stage 5. That was my hardest.

@RagedGPlaythroughs Actually, you can replay the special stages without replaying an Act: just pause the game if you're running out of time during the special stage (or if you're bumping into a red mark - but you have to be very fast in this case) and chose the Try Again option. Hope this helps, sure made my time shorter ;)

Getting the Chaos Emeralds looks really easy in this one compared to the older Sonic games for the Genesis.
