Guitarists are sure being wooed by a lot of manufacturers these days. Actually ZBox doesn't really need a computer, it's an impedance converter that takes a guitar's high-impedance output and converts it to low impedance suitable for driving interface line inputs, mixers, PA systems, and the like.

The device works fine doing what it claims to do and I like it but IMHO ZBox has a major downside, that is if you use high quality cables. The Zbox outputs the signal via an ordinary quality hardwired cable. I want to be free to plug a cable of my choice between my guitar and the interface without killing the clarity the high quality cable I have spent so much money in. An output plug instead of a cable would do the trick.
