It should screw back in (if your talking about the screw that tightens the ball joint). We usually take them off for shipping.
If it's broken, it might have been in shipping,

The beauty of the product is that no plastic comes in contact with the phone. We have foam pads that hold the phone and come in contact with it. Mike @ Mobile Mech
