  • I'm picking up a female Western Hermann's Tortoise in about two weeks. Is there anything special I should know about their care? I know most of the basic's, just anything quirky that they like/don't like.

  • @TheScreamingPirate please e-mail me at chrleone@gmail.com so I can offer advice.

  • Can they crossbreed ?

  • @zoltan6561 they can but it is not reccommended and highly frowned upon. It is important to keep the species separate and pure.

  • Thank you for your efforts. I appreciate your energy and enthusiasm. I also learned technical terminology and other identifying techniques and characteristics. I have 3.1 russians (which I think are diff sub species, but I have no proof. I also obtained 2 hatchling desert tortoises which are eating and sunning and are 3 weeks old.
