The newest version of Amazon Kindle 2.0, with a longer battery life, more memory (up to 1500 books!), and text-to-speech feature can be set to read aloud all books and magazines. I had the good fortune to test the first-generation Kindle, and all the new features seem like great improvements.

  • @dormiturefl no, they use 3G GSM technology for connectivity and it's free of any charge! you basically have limited web access where ever in the world there is 3G coverage, and it's all free of any additional charges, monthly bills, etc! that's what I think the hype is all about :)

  • i didnt understand the hype about this thing at first, but now i get it. pretty bad ass. but how does it connect to amazon and wikipedia on the train as you say? isnt it only wifi connection? so the train would need to be wifi correct?
