The International Spaceflight Museum http://slispaceflightmuseum.org/blog/ is a virtual museum presently located in the virtual world of Second Life ® . It hosts exhibits and events about real-world spacecraft, rockets, and space travel. The museum is located on the island sims Spaceport Alpha and Spaceport Bravo.
The in-world organization that manages and develops the museum is the Spaceflight Museum Planning Group, a group of Second Life residents from around the world who share an interest in spaceflight. These same volunteers have created a Real Life organization to support the museum, the ISM Corporation, a Kansas non-profit corporation. The board of directors are currently working on an application for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.
A history of the first year and a half of this organization is available in a PDF file of a presentation which was given at the Second Life Community Convention in September 2006. http://slispaceflightmuseum.org/pdf/ISM_Case_Study.pdf

Congratulations! That was very well done! Bravo to the great builders for these rockets, too. Many thanks for bringing this for all to share. Thanks!
