James F. Hanley komponierte dieses Stück, welches im Original „Just a Cottage small, by a Waterfall" hieß. Der Tenor Richard Tauber nahm das Lied 1927 in Berlin auf. Begleitet wird er vom Orchester des Deutschen Künstlertheaters, Berlin, unter Leitung von Ernst Hauke.

    Hi dp,

My chronology has now been posted online at thr richard-tauber.de site [I tried to give the full url, but YT does not allow it!]

I fear it is already out of date, and I will send an updated version for posting later in the year.

Many thanks for the additional information.

    All best,

    D.

    Hello Dan,

How far have you got with your chronology ?

I have purchased two contracts signed by Percy Kahn to accompany Tauber : one on Sunday April 27, 1947 at 3 p.m. at the Davis Theatre at Croydon and the same day at 7.30 p.m. at the Royal Albert Hall ... and the other for two concerts at the Pavilion Bournemouth, on August the 31st, 1947, first at 2.45 p.m. and then at 7.30 p.m.

    Best wishes.

    dp

  • Thanks for this - one of Tauber's rarest 12" German Odeons.

May we hope you will also post the other side: Mein Schloss im Mond?
