@aj2007jj Anybody that complains about that is ignorant. The F-450 is in the same class as the 3500's. Instead of having an F-350 and F-350 dually, Ford has the F-350 and F-450. Same class, just built for better towing, so the ford being better isn't a lack of compatibility.

@THEJBUDS what do you mean Dodge is the one that offered that kind of gear ratio not ford its dodge fault they cant haul as much as ford and its the same for chevy not fords fault they make a better truck. And I own a 1992 chevy z71 4x4 ok truck but would like to have a ford because they haul more then anything else. they are not the best selling truck for nothing.

@kappagreen71 Are you kidding me!?! it has everything to do with the gearing you could theoretically make a 5 hp briggs pull more than these trucks if you geared it right. and if the dodge had 4.20 gears and the ford had 3.51 gears the dodge would clearly move faster off the line. the amount they can pull really does not matter at all the chevy would easily pull 25000 pounds and same with the dodge. but acceleration has to do with the gearing its as simple as that. Please dont be ignorant

@THEJBUDS It has nothing to do with gearing look at the numbers they dont lie. Chevy is 21,000lbs thats all they are made to haul safely coming from chevy. Dodge is 22,000lbs is what they haul safely from dodge. and all mighty FORD is made to haul 24,700lbs safely that is coming from FORD. Now like I said has nothing to do with gears the NUMBERS dont lie FORD is GOD in truck world and lets not forget they are the best selling truck for like 37yrs now. FORD = GOD.

How can you compare a f-450 to any 3500? First off the f-450 has 4.88 gears in it that gives great low end grunt. The chevy unless ordered with 4.10s comes stock with 3.73s. How can you deem that even close for a competition like this?????
