  • @TheFantasticCorndog That's ignorant of you. He's trying to explain that the commercially raised chickens are unnatural. you're just used to seeing them.

  • @TheFantasticCorndog That's because that is the chicken that you're used to seeing. it's unnatural.

  • Good or Shit - pick one. ^_^

  • @homoeroticfood It's not that they're entitled per se to chicken... if there could be a food revolution where the poor could have access to cheap, hearty vegetarian meals which respect food sensitivities (not many people are allergic to meat, but plenty are allergic to vegetable matter like nuts and soy, which are often staples in a veggie diet), then that would be awesome. But as it stands now, cheap chicken occupies an important place in the working class' diet.

  • I don't understand why people think poor people should automatically be entitled to eat chicken (thereby justifying battery farming). They aren't. Eating chicken used to be a special occasion before the existence battery farming practices. Nowadays it's just a throwaway commodity (KFC) sustained by cruelty and low quality. I think it would be better if we ate chicken less often but have the highest quality when we do.

  • @ultimatumjs

how it makes the stock, which is used in many many dishes.. also impacts how much harder the muscle has to work.

  • fuck the YOUNGTURKS

  • why is a chef concerned about how strong a dead chicken's bones are?

  • What the hell do you want me to do? I can't afford to eat free range home-grown chickens at every meal. You may as well complain about the air I breathe while you walk around with a golden tank of fresh air. Nothing I can do about it.
