Allegiant Airline Emergency Landing

on March 29, 2007, Allegiant Airline MD-83 made an emergency landing at Orlando Sanford International airport due to the nose gear cannot be extract. The video is not perfect, but hope you like it. The pilots did a great job to hold off the head as long as they can off the ground. Great job.

Wow, way to be a jerk. I was there, I was one of those guys in blue shirts, and we aren't servicemen. We're students, many of those guys didn't have instrument ratings yet.

As for spiraling into a ball of fire, yes that could have happened, but it was unlikely seeing as the plane came in on fumes. They were holding over KSFB for at least an hour burning what was left of their fuel to ensure that they WOULDN'T burst into flames.

I was on this flight, nothing but professionalism. Nose gear not deployed, not as big a deal as main gear not deployed!!! Happy that my "plane crash" was this and not something worse.

@eaquino1265 The most critical part is the touchdown and then touching the nose down. As long as they accomplish that successfully, then they will be fine. No fireballs. THat's too much hollywood stuff. These are professional pilots! :-) no need for a "rescue" here, besides the plane is almost 2 miles away. The people will be back in their cars before these guys get there!

I've seen the helicopter view of this, very nice landing. Great job. But it is kinda funny on the post about the flight school. I can hear the instructor now..."See that guy's? With alot of hard work and dedication, that could be YOU crash landing out there!" ;0)
