A Japanese artist who spent most of her childhood in the U.S. She writes polygonal After Jazz-pop and performs poetry of various themes, which she writes with poet and producer, Bun Onoe, using a playful cat-like vocal-style. She recorded many session albums with musicians in N.Y., like Medeski, Martin and Wood, Marc Ribot, Peter Scherer, and the Jazz Passengers.
