  • When I first heard about this upheaval, I first thought of my brother-in-law who says American cars are superior, based on how often they need to come in for repairs. Then, I got to thinking about how lousy the Ameican car industry was doing, and that spawned a somewhat far-fetched notion: there could be a team of agents from a US manufacturer making inroxdes on these recalled Tyota models.

I know, kind of crazy, but crazier thingshave happened in the western world.

  • Never bought a toyota, always bought Honda/Acura, just as reliable, more fuel efficient, no recalled, never went wrong. 200k+ miles, just regular interval maintenence, go figure! knock on wood.

  • If u have push button start, press 3 times or hold a few seconds

  • Title to this vid. should be up dated...closer to 8 million recalled now (Nov. 2010).... My '93 and '95 Fords are almost due for replacement...200,000+ miles each... I really like those new Subaru wagons, though....Thank God I can't afford a Toyota like I could when I my '75 Carolla was under $4,000

  • @truehunter you mean daily things like learning how to spell?

  • i'll buy FORD than a fucking toyota who kill's my folks!!!

  • @truehunter So before you become preachy get hooked on phonics so you can go to a 2 year college and take automotive classes and learn how cars really work. Until then don't reveal your grade school education levels by not noticing that my 5 month old post hadn't been scrutinized by people of a greater education level than your own.

  • @truehunter There is a mechanical element to steering systems. Its called "rack and pinion" because that is what the gears are inside if that magical aluminum box that makes it work. The hydraulics are there for the power assist but I'm not sure that Toyota uses hydraulics for their power steering it could be electric power assist. in any event there is always a mechanical link from the steering wheel to the front wheels. Turn the key to the on position on your dads car and turn the wheels.

  • @fuji302

    1. Once u turn off engine u wont able to steer ur car. It use hydraulic fluid.

    2. Correct u Shift to Neutral but how many ppl learn or used N.

    3. If 2 top fails Brakes can be over powered by the engine HP.

    4. ill skip this

    Bottom line

Most people arnt blend into danger, or take risk so alot of thing flash into your mind. alot of ppl i know work 6 days a week, an only drive to work n home. Next time b4 calling people stupid u should at less understand daily things.

  • @kawblondie: Been watching the congressional hearings on Toyota? I told ya so! You stupid dimwit!
