  • HI DeDe will other salt alternatives work such as sea salt or kosher salt? I know they are more coarse but just wondering or is table salt best?

  • @shweamel any salt will work :)

  • This looks great! Do you have a written Harissa got sauce recipe to go with it?

  • @trinarpatel yes check out my harissa video :)

  • @alihereatnu you may need to add more oil to fry them in. And yes they may sink to the bottom initially but then after a minute, you need to maybe give it a little nudge with a spoon and it should float to the top :) Oh and make sure your oil is hot when you add them, this helps too!

  • i'm ashamed to say i've only ever had falafel at airport restaurants...it always sounds so good, but tends to come out greasy and flavorless. your recipe, however, is dangerously scrumptious. it makes me want to eat falafel daily. thank you so much! any thoughts why they might initially sink (stick to bottom) when i first put 'em in the oil?

  • @litigiously thanks so much, i appreciate your support. Yes the halal food carts in NY are amazing :) Please check out my site as well and join my FB page for daily updates :)

  • I am a full on foodie. After a recent trip to New York I was moved by the Hilal carts' fluffy and fresh filafel fried on site. Came home looking to duplicate and found your recipe. PERFECT. Pops with flavor and wreaks of fresh ingredients. I will subscribe and follow you. You are a goddess.
