Figure 8 Puffer Fish

Here's my brackish (half fresh, half salt water) aquarium. We had lots of fun with my four Figure 8 puffers, who are always curious, especially at feeding time. In there also is an orange sailfin mollie, 2 silver scats (very big), and a columbian shark.

What other fish can these puffers go with

@Eliissaa27 Figure 8 Puffers can go with any of the following successfully: Bumble Bee Gobies, Small Fin Mollies, Columbian Sharks, Mono Sebaes, Mono Argentus, Green Scat, Spotted Scats (be careful as these get quite large). They do not works will with angelfish, goldfish, bettas, or guppies (which they eat). They are notorious fin nippers, even to each other.

what's the puffers feeding schedule? how much do u feed him in a day and how often? would i be okay with the frozen blocks and split them in half, giving him half in the morning and half in the evening?

@MissButterycup97 I typically fed them twice a day, just a pinch of dried krill or small freeze-dried shrimp. They are messy eaters, so I would suggest a floating feeding station to keep the tank cleaner. Once in a while I would also purchase a live snail, give the shell a good crack with a hammer, and drop it in the tank for them to eat as a treat, and to keep their beaks short and well maintained.

hey i have a 30 gallon fishtank whit a 1 oscar and 1 pleco

i want a puffer how do i introduce salt to my fishtank ??? did my oscars is gonna die if i do that?

@joestar112890 Yes. Your oscars are fresh water fish. If you add marine salt you will kill your other fish. Puffers are specialty fish.
