No, it's because Rush never did drugs, never pandered to the media, never tried to be fashionable, never got divorced, never beat their wives, never treated the media or fans like shit, never drove drunk, never shot guns at people, never used profanity on a record, never etc. etc. etc.
They just played and wrote good music while acting like civilized human beings. For that, you get punished.
