Georgia Northeastern Charity Train

The Georgia Northeastern railroad hosted a special charity passenger train trip to raise money for the Cherokee County Child Advocacy Council. This trip took place on April 18, 2009. I was there to film the train making its way from Woodstock, Georgia to Canton, Georgia. The train made a total of five runs back and forth that day. The power for the trip were two GP38s No. 9708 and No. 2000. The passenger cars used for this trip were barrowed from the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, which is operated by the Georgia Northeastern. I had no idea about this train until I overheard a gentleman talking about it at Hobby Town USA. So thanks to that gentleman, I am able to bring you this video. Great video! Im glad you got a video of this. I went to Woodstock that day but it was already in Canton so I didnt catch it. But hopefully they will make it an annual tradition. Thanks again for posting!
