We were in Phuket only a few months after the area was hit by a horrible Tsunami. We were so impressed by how much they had recovered in that short period of time. Much of the video that we took from the roof of the Novotel hotel was taken from the same location that some of the footage of the Tsunami was taken.

  • my dad was there when the tsunami was there but he suvived we gonna fly ther 12 december

  • ont.: In Phuket there are dazzeling beaches and Zoo's, up close Elephant adventures, wildlife parks.I adopted a Gibbon Mee for $50 US, she is now paired up with another resue named JoJo. They're soon to give birth and hopefully released into the wild by WARF. Go if you can, it is a wonderful place to putter around on a motorbike and embrace life.

  • The island has recovered and vacationers now because Tsunami and world economy will benifit in savings. I found the Thai people first rate. Of course there are all the darker side of things that go on maybe not so openly in most tropical resort/tourisium dependant spots like Key West, Fla, USA.
