@carlitaeli3 Like any religion, Mormonism is not monolithic. Maybe the people around you are more accepting but I've been around other Mormons who would not feel comfortable having openly gay people in the church. As far as the discrimination thing goes, they were referring to the revocation of the priesthood from blacks done by Brigham Young which was later rescinded in 1978 by Spencer Kimball. Also, it's meant to be exaggerated. It's rooted in truth but it's a parody. You missed the point.

@carlitaeli3 The show isn't just about Mormons, everyone has suppressed their feelings before and all religions and belief systems have things about them seem ridiculous to outsiders and even cruel to outsiders. The show isn't trying to bash Mormons it's really about humanity and the fact That mormons or anyone is human like everyone and have human problems despite religion. Just my opinion but it actually makes Mormonism very appealing to me.

I have Mormon beliefs and these videos are completely off. When I went to church there was gay men and even lesbians. We do not turn off sad feelings nor discriminate black people.
