With all due respect to Cilla, yeah she has range but Cher has pathos & Sonny's production is excellent. Mind you a good song is a good song and there are many fab versions of Alfie.

Bacharach being a perfectionist-really made her work hard for this song-she did the best alfie-from the movie alfie--and ask oneself--whats its all about-the song is very deep.
