The Basse have a beautiful voice but not for this I think... A baryton would have been better in my opinion....

Franz Josef Selig is more known as a wagnerian bass singer (among his favourite parts König Marke, Gurnemanz and, outside Wagner, he frequently sings Sarastro in "De Zauberflöte"); his voice sounds very black, with deep and sonorous bottom notes, and therefore he might not be classified as a baritone.
