Descriptions of Item on Display:

The user changes directions by shifting the center of weight and moves forward by using both hands and both feet. To fold the cycle, you need to first bend forward the backrest mounted on the saddle so that the axle driving rod, suspended on the end hook of the axle driving rod installed in the framework of the backrest, can pull forward a pair of axles bound on both ends of the frame housing of the rear wheels, pulling forward a pair of wheels installed in the knuckle arms on both ends of each axle. To ride the cycle, you need to work the pedals penetrating into the front wheels with both of your feet so that the linking chain connected to the pedal crank gear can rotate the first handle crank gear, the force of which is then combined with the rotational force of the second handle crank gear connected to the handles so that the combined force can rotate the free-gear connected to the driving chain, therefore rotating the front wheels and moving the cycle forward.

Technical Features: The foldable manual cycle can generate the propulsive force with the aid of both hands and both feet of the user, ensuring an effective riding experience. Beginners as well as the handicapped can easily ride the cycle, and it can be easily converted into a hand cycle specifically designed for those handicapped in the lower limbs. The automatic steering system, freeing both hands from changing directions, arranges the directions of the handle crank arms in opposite to each other, resulting in a smoother riding experience and a more balanced physical development than that of a traditional type of the handle crank arms arranged in the same direction. The cycle can be easily folded into a compact shape, making it easy to store or carry it.

Applications: Transportation, traveling, physical excercise, assistance for the handicapped, the aged, and women who cannot ride a cycle

  • I helped invent the lean to steer trike in the early 80s. My friend established a speed record in the I.H.P.V.A. with it in 1988.

does "Freedom Cycle" ring a bell?!
