I think the so called "noodling" is top notch and the tones sound classic. GTR is a winner -on the same level or better than Softube -and there are some good prices on the Waves site.

i played both, GTR3 sounds better and is a lot easier to use

As long as you have a DI box or preamp do go between your PC and guitar, it'll work.

It doesn't sounds amazingly well but ok! He could have played something else than his horrible improvisation...

I just purchased the gtr3 (software only) version. One question, do you need the hardware interface in order for it to work correctly? I'm not doing anything "LIVE".. Just recording into SONAR..
