The Magic Harvest (original instrumental)

More of a straight-ahead piano piece, The Magic Harvest represents to me the process of creating something from nothing. The chorus is sort of a "voila" moment, that point in the creative process when any writer knows he or she has something.

It's not always great or even good, but it's tangible.

One of the aspects of instrumental writing I'm enjoying right now is the latitude to come up with as aesthetically pleasing a sound as possible without worries about construct or formula or catchiness.

I'm trying to create something that is obviously tangible but hopefully beautiful. Let's see if you think so or if it even grows on you eventually. Or me for that matter.

aesthetically pleasing indeed. i can hear a small jazz band performing this live in a classy lounge with a sax and piano taking turns as the main voice. i wish you had a piano!

The original instrumentals remind me of soundtrack audios for film and television. Biographical perhaps. As the events in the characters' life change, the music portrays it better than the dialogue. Great sound, and 5*'s :)

Wow!! Well THIS is coming along nicely! I'm just trying to get back into the swing of things here.. and this one calmed me right down.. AMAZING sound! I love the building sounds of the chorus and how the chords change towards the end of it.. OUTSTANDING! But it's never a surprise to hear amazing things come from this channel.. Haha..
