A funny , nice man! I saw him filming the movie Fatso (a wonderful film) in NYC; he showed great compassion to a fan who was ill and kept interrupting.

Crypter27. John Candy died of a heart attack. Dom died of a long illness different. And don't dis John Candy he was a great and funny comedian and a great actor he did more movies then Dom.

I tip my heat to you Dom. I will never forget my first time seeing "blazing saddles" and see Dom as the director for musical number "French mistake". Rest in peace Dom.

Today I am making his (& his mamma's) recipe for meatballs/meatloaf from his cookbook Dom DeLuise, Eat This Too! It'll Also Make You Feel Better. I watched him on tv & movies as well. Rest in Peace Dom.
